You’ll receive an overview of a total compensation system and the resources and techniques needed to create one. Topics covered include job descriptions, FLSA classification, job analysis and evaluation, defining salary structures, using salary surveys, computing market rates, establishing salary ranges, analyzing employee salary levels, and the use of incentives and other benefits. We’ll also discuss ensuring fairness in the compensation system and the role of compensation in retention. Textbook Required. This program is valid for 12 PDCs for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. You must attend 90% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, in order to pass the class and be awarded CEUs and a Certificate of Completion.
