Student teachers will complete 10 hours of supervised ESL instruction at the American Culture & Language Institute – Woodbridge Campus (evening classes only). For morning classes, please choose a different campus. You must complete all requirements outlined in the Practicum 1 worksheet (including arriving on time, assisting in class, and teaching two mini teaching demonstractions) in order to pass the class and be awarded CEUs. TESOL staff will contact you via e-mail after registration to coordinate a schedule and put you in contact with your host instructor. Prerequisites: Successful completion of Introduction to TESOL, ELT Methodology, English Grammar in ESL, and Lesson Planning is required before taking this course. NOTE: As Practicum 1 is a one-on-one instruction workshop, tuition waivers cannot be used.
