FastForward Eligible Program: To qualify for financial assistance for FastForward programs you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year prior to the date of application. Course Prerequisites: You must complete this online skills assessment successfully before registering. The skills assessment ensures that you have the adequate foundation to benefit from the course content. If your test results do not meet the minimum requirements, a counselor will be in touch to discuss your options. You will be dropped from the class if you register without completing the assessment or if your score does not meet the minimum requirement. 

Course Description: The CCENT certification validates the skills required for entry-level network support positions, the starting point for many successful careers in networking. And the CCENT certification is the first step in achieving the CCNA Routing and Switching certification. Topics in this course include Basic Networking, Routing and Switching Fundamentals, TCP/IP and OSI Models, IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing, WAN Technologies, Command Line Interface for IOS, NAT, and DHCP. Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) is the exam associated with the CCENT certification. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This course only covers the topics associated with the ICND1 exam. Prerequisites: Knowledge of networking. CompTIA Network+ certification is recommended.  

Included with tuition: Bundled price includes the course, textbook and CCENT industry certification exam. No other certification exam can be substituted in this program. Books will be handed out to FastForward participants on the first day of class. 

What is Expected: You must attend at least 90% of all scheduled class meetings, complete any requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You will have 30 calendar days from the end of the in-class program to sit for the exam.

Important: You can register for only one FastForward program at a time. If you register for a second FastForward program while you are currently enrolled in a FastForward program, and you have not sat for the Industry Credential exam, you will be dropped from the second course.
