Course Prerequisites: You must complete this online skills assessment successfully before registering. The skills assessment ensures that you have an adequate foundation to benefit from the course content. If your test results do not meet the minimum requirements, a counselor will be in touch to discuss your options. You will be dropped from the class if you register without completing the assessment or if your score does not meet the minimum requirement.

Course Description: This course will give you the foundations needed for the CompTIA® A+ Core Series certification exams. Through lectures and lab exercises, you will learn to configure and support PC, mobile and IoT device hardware, configure device operating systems, and implement basic data backup and recovery methods. You will learn how to administer client-based as well as cloud-based (SaaS) software and support basic IT infrastructure and networking. You will also gain skills to troubleshoot and problem solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation, change management, and the use of scripting in IT support. This course aligns to the CompTIA Core 1 and Core 2 exams.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of personal computers.

Included with tuition: Bundled price includes textbook and industry certification exams. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program. Books will be handed out to FastForward participants on the first day of class. Access to CertMaster is included with tuition.

What is Expected: You must attend at least 90% of all scheduled class meetings, complete any requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You will have 30 calendar days from the end of the in-class program to sit for the exam.

Important: You can register for only one FastForward program at a time. If you register for a second FastForward program while you are currently enrolled in a FastForward program, and you have not sat for the Industry Credential exam, you will be dropped from the second course.
