Program Description:
  • Be on your way to become a crucial player in a growing healthcare field with our fast-paced, 80-hour Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program!
    Pharmacy Technicians are sought-after professionals for pharmacies located in hospitals, drug stores, doctors’ offices, and grocery stores. The focused curriculum will prepare you to sit for the CPhT Certification Exam from NHA, giving you the credentials needed to invest in your future and prepare for a rewarding career as a Pharmacy Technician.
    This course will examine the areas critical to the pharmacy technician practice to include pharmacology for technicians, laws and regulations, compounding, medication safety, quality assurance, order entry and fill processes, inventory management, billing and reimbursement.

Clinical Externship Description:
  • There is an optional 80 hour clinical at a local pharmacy that commences upon successful completion of the course and all drug screening, criminal background and immunizations are complete.  Please read the student handbook for further details. 
Admission Requirements:
  • Must have a High School Diploma, GED or higher degree
  • Must have a high level of English reading and comprehension
  • Must have strong math skills
  • Must have a clean drug screen and criminal background check to participate in the optional clinical externship
  • Must meet the essential and technical requirements of the program - See Appendix A of the student handbook
One (1) form of valid (non-expired) government-issued photo identification bearing your signature. The first and last name on your ID must match the name under which you registered for your class.
Examples of acceptable ID include: state driver’s license, state identification card, federal employment authorization card, or government-issued passport. Failure to possess appropriate identification will result in the cancellation of your registration. Please bring your ID to the first day of class for verification.
