Re-Employing Virginians (REV): The Re-Employing Virginians (REV) initiative helps students cover the cost of tuition and fees in fields that will lead to careers. If you are domiciled in Virginia and are unemployed or underemployed due to COVID-19, you can receive up to $1,500 for FastForward eligible short-term training programs at NOVA. The registration deadline is December 14, 2020. Learn more and complete the REV Self-Certification Form
FastForward Eligible Program: To qualify for financial assistance for FastForward programs, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. If you qualify, you will pay one-third of the cost of the program. Learn more about FastForward

VA Ready Eligible Program: VA Ready is a non-profit organization supporting out-of-work and underemployed Virginias who commit to training for in-demand jobs so they can get back to work quickly. Course Prerequisites: Students interested in taking this class must have a CompTIA A+ certification or a minimum of one year on-the-job work experience in networking. Please send a copy of the certification or details of your work experience to and a staff member will confirm receipt. You will be dropped from the class if you register without submitting proof of the prerequisites.

Instructional Mode: Learn@Home and On Campus (Hybrid – Instructor-led)

Course Description: CompTIA® Network+ is a vendor-neutral certification and provides you with a fundamental understanding of computer networks. Topics include Network Media, Architecture, Operations, Technologies, and Devices. You will also gain a basic understanding of emerging technologies, including unified communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization. This class is based on the latest exam. 

Included with Tuition: The course, textbook, CertMaster Practice, and industry certification exam. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program. Note: The textbook ($51) and CertMaster Practice ($69) are assigned to students on or by the first day of class and are non-refundable once assigned.

What is Expected: You must attend 75% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You will have 60 calendar days from the end of the in-class program to sit for the exam.

This program cannot be combined with any other discounts/promotions.

Please read:  Learn@Home & On Campus (Hybrid - Instructor-led): This class has multiple schedules and locations. Class meets on campus, on the days, times, and location listed on the class schedule. The class also meets online in real-time via Zoom on the days and times listed on the class schedule as NOVA Workforce Online Class. Your instructor will facilitate live online lectures and discussions. Reliable internet access and a Zoom-capable device are required. See Zoom Class Requirements for more details.

Note: Should local conditions change requiring restrictions related to COVID-19, the class will switch to fully-remote delivery or put on pause.

This class requires the use of classroom computers. You must use your myNOVA account to log on to computers.
