Earning your
Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) credential signals to an employer your commitment to a career in residential property management. This is an entry-level credential and is stackable.
Topics include:
- Bringing in New Residents: Be Prepared
- Marketing and Maintaining Your Community
- Why Your Competition Matters
- Relevant Laws and How to Apply Them
- The Sales Process and Building Relationships
- Effectively Meeting the Needs of Current Residents
- Market Analysis for Leasing Professionals
Included with tuition: The course materials, e-textbook, and industry certification exam. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program. Note: The e-textbook ($200) is assigned to students on or by the first day of class and is non-refundable once assigned.
What is Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam.
Note: Candidates for the CALP certification need at least six months of onsite property management experience in a leasing role. Candidates will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met. Candidates have six months to earn their credential once they apply with NAAEI. For more information, visit the
