This is a FastForward Program: FastForward programs are short-term training courses for industry credentials in high-demand jobs. Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Course and Certification Exam Requirements:
Sitting for the industry certification exam is an expectation for FastForward programs. Therefore, you must meet the PMP eligibility criteria before registering for this course. To qualify for the PMP exam, you must meet the requirements established by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Full details are available in the PMP® Handbook.

You must have:
  • A four-year degree (or global equivalent)
    • 36 months of experience leading and managing projects within the past 8 years
    • 35 hours of project management education
OR
  • A high school or secondary school diploma (or global equivalent)
    • 60 months of experience leading and managing projects within the past 8 years
    • 35 hours of project management education

Note: This course fulfills the 35 hours of project management education requirement for PMP exam eligibility.

Course Description

The PMP® Exam Preparation course is a comprehensive, instructor-led training designed to prepare participants for the PMP® certification exam. Delivered over 35 contact hours, this course satisfies the PMI requirement for formal project management education.

Participants will gain a strong foundation in:
  • Predictive, agile, and hybrid project management approaches
  • PMI’s PMP Exam Content Outline (ECO)
  • Exam strategies and application support

Who Should Enroll

This course is ideal for:
  • Professionals with project leadership experience seeking PMP certification
  • Individuals who meet PMI eligibility and want to strengthen their exam readiness
  • Learners who need to complete the 35 hours of formal education required to apply for the PMP exam 
 
What is Expected

To successfully complete the course and qualify for the included exam voucher, students must meet the following requirements:
 
  • Attend 100% of all scheduled class hours and complete any other requirements set by the instructor. Full attendance is required to earn the 35 hours of project management education.
  • Earn an average score of 80% or higher on in-class quizzes to show exam readiness. 
  • Create a PMI.org account. Registered students will receive instructions for setting up their PMI account, which is required to access the class materials and begin the exam application process.
  • Apply for the PMP® Exam within 14 days of course completion. Students will receive application support and guidance during the course to ensure timely submission.
  • Meet PMI’s work experience eligibility criteria. Students must meet and document the required project management experience when submitting the PMP application. Details are available at www.pmi.org/certifications/project-management-pmp
  • Sit for the PMP® Exam within 45 days of completing the course. The course is designed for immediate exam readiness, and students are expected to test while the material is still fresh.
