This comprehensive and fast paced entry level program is intended for the person who has never worked in healthcare and is looking for a new career skill set. Medical billers and coders (also called health claims specialists) are responsible for processing insurance claims for healthcare facilities and physicians practices. As a medical billing and coding specialist, you’ll work to bridge the gap between doctors, insurance companies, and patients. This course requires you to have a stong understanding of the English language.

This program meets the necessary requirements to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) – Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam, this program will not prepare you make you to sit for the AAPC, CPC or AHIMA exams. Textbook and NHA exam voucher are included in tuition.
