This Web Design I course covers the most important topics of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries, and frameworks. This course introduces students to cross-platform web design with a focus on planning and designing web pages which meet not only usability and accessibility requirements but also with an understanding of meeting stakeholder requirements. Prerequisite: Students should have a good working knowledge of using computers and have access to one outside of the classroom. Also, be able to manage your file system, including creating, copying, moving, deleting and renaming files and folders. Students using a MAC computer should be able to move files between Windows and Mac. Students should be familiar with using and managing files on external storage devices e.g. USB drive. We encourage you to bring your own laptop to complete and save the course projects.

After completing Web Design 1 we will invite you to consider our Web Design 2 course where you will learn the front-end technologies used in modern websites i.e. CSS transforms & transitions, techniques to draw on the canvas, and component-based design principles.

You must attend 90% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, in order to pass the class and be awarded CEUs and a Certificate of Completion.
