  • 80 hours of didactic instruction
  • 20 hours of skills lab instruction, and
  • 40 hours of direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility
The instructional portion will be presented online in a blended format: Synchronous (through Live Zoom) and Asynchronous (Assignments completed at home during an assignment period). Modules will include narrated power points, readings, quizzes, and other assignments. Students will attend in-person skills labs and clinicals for application of learning, i.e., practice skills, role plays, and mentoring practices. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the Virginia Board of Nursing as an Advanced Certified Nurse Aide ($25 fee not included). No additional testing is required for VBON certification.
