This is a FastForward Program: FastForward programs are short-term training courses for industry credentials in high-demand jobs. Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. Additional financial assistance is available to offset some or all of the FastForward tuition costs.

Course Description: Data analytics (DA) is the process of examining raw data to find trends and answer questions. DA is central to many business operations to help make better data-driven decisions. The CompTIA(R) Data+ certification is ideal for anyone seeking a new career in data analysis, to improve their current data science skills, or to validate their skills and knowledge with an industry-recognized credential. In this course, you will learn how to mine and manipulate data more effectively, apply basic statistical methods, and analyze complex datasets, all while adhering to governance and quality standards throughout the entire data life cycle.
Course Prerequisites: Basic computer literacy, e.g., using Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
Included with Tuition: The course, CertMaster Learn, and industry certification exam. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program.
Note: CertMaster Learn ($149) is assigned to students on or by the first day of class and are
non-refundable once assigned.
What is Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You will have 30 calendar days from the end of program to sit for the exam.
