Introduction to Nonprofit Accounting

This workshop is essential for anyone interested in getting a better understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology as they relate to nonprofits. Learn why everyone in the nonprofit world, from board members to staff and donors, needs to have a basic understanding of financial reports/statements and accounting terms.
 
Explore topics such as organizational structure and tax-exempt status, as well as internal controls and the importance of separation of duties when it comes to handling cash and preventing theft. At the conclusion of the class, you’ll complete a short quiz to make sure you’ve mastered key terms and principles.
 
You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, in order to pass the class and be awarded CEUs and a Certificate of Completion.
