This online, self-paced program developed by Google is designed to prepare you for an entry-level IT support role. The innovative curriculum will introduce you to troubleshooting, customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security. 

The program includes five required courses and one optional course, all featuring video lectures, quizzes, and hands-on labs with interactive widgets.
  1. Technical Support Fundamentals
  2. The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking
  3. Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User
  4. System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services
  5. IT Security: Defense Against the Digital Dark Arts 
  6. Accelerate Your Job Search with AI (optional job preparation course)
To successfully complete the program, you must complete the required 5 modules within 6 months of your start date. You will need to commit 10-15 hours per week to dedicated coursework. You may complete the program in less than 6 months. However, you may not go beyond 6 months.

Once you complete the program, you can opt in to have your information sent to leading employers, including Bank of America, Cognizant, GE Digital, Google, Hulu, Infosys, MCPc, PNC Bank, RICOH USA, Spring IT, TEKSystems, UPMC, Walmart and its subsidiary companies, and of course, Google.

You must be 18 years old or older to enroll in this class.

The Google IT Support Professional Certificate is approved for Credit for Prior Learning for the following classes at NOVA: ITE 152, ITN 101, & ITN 260
