This is a FastForward Program: FastForward programs are short-term training courses for industry credentials in high-demand jobs. Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. Additional financial assistance is available to offset some or all of the FastForward tuition costs. Course Description: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certifications are the leading certificates for any IT professional working with AWS. This hands-on course will provide in-depth knowledge about AWS architectural principles and components. You will learn to manage highly available and fault tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments, how to migrate and deploy cloud-based solutions, and implement cloud solutions on AWS. The course will help participants prepare for the AWS Architect Certification -  Associate Level exam.  Prerequisite: CompTIA A+ certification (or passing grade for NOVA Workforce class) or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (or passing grade for NOVA Workforce class) or a minimum of two years on-the-job work experience in an IT field. 

Included with Tuition: The course, digital textbook, and industry certification exam. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program. Note: The textbook ($61) is assigned to students on or by the first day of class and is non-refundable once assigned.

What is Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You will have 30 calendar days from the end of the in-class program to sit for the exam.

This program cannot be combined with any other discounts/promotions.
 
Credit for Prior Learning gives you opportunities to earn credit for college-level knowledge that you have already acquired and accelerates the completion of your educational goals. NOVA accepts select industry credentials for college credit. The AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is approved for Credit for Prior Learning for the following classes at NOVA: ITN 213
