This is a FastForward Program: FastForward programs are short-term training courses for industry credentials in high-demand jobs. Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. Additional financial assistance is available to offset some or all of the FastForward tuition costs.

Course Prerequisites: Students interested in taking this class must have
one of the following:
- CompTIA A+ certification or successfully completed the NOVA Workforce A+ course
- Minimum of one year on-the-job work experience in networking
- Degree (AS, BA, BS) in IT, Computer Science, or Cyber Security
- ITN 101 (Introduction to Network Concepts) - NOVA course completion with a C or better

Workforce Handbook for CompTIA FastForward Courses
Instructional Mode: Learn@Home: Instructor-led, Live via Zoom and CANVAS
Course Description: CompTIA® Network+ is a vendor-neutral certification and provides you with a fundamental understanding of computer networks. Topics include Network Media, Architecture, Operations, Technologies, and Devices. You will also gain a basic understanding of emerging technologies, including unified communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization. This class is based on the latest exam.
Included with Tuition: CertMaster Learn, CertMaster Labs, and industry certification exam. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program.
Note: CertMaster Learn and CertMaster Labs ($166) are assigned to students on or by the first day of class and are
non-refundable once class begins.
What is Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You will have 30 calendar days from the end of program to sit for the exam.
This program cannot be combined with any other discounts/promotions.
Credit for Prior Learning gives you opportunities to earn credit for college-level knowledge that you have already acquired and accelerates the completion of your educational goals. NOVA accepts select industry credentials for college credit. The
