The Intensive 2 Reading & Writing course is 125 hours. Intensive 2 Reading & Writing helps you build your pre-academic English skills for future study. The course teaches reading, writing, grammar, critical thinking skills, and test-taking strategies. Students who complete Intensive 2 Reading & Writing can take Intensive Reading & Writing 3, Intensive Speaking & Listening, and Support ESL.

Prerequisite: Completion of Intensive 1 Reading & Writing - Low Beginning, or ACLI placement test results. To be successful in their ESL class, students must be able to use NOVA’s digital technology (email, Zoom, CANVAS).
