The Intensive 6 Reading & Writing course is 125 hours. Intensive 6 Reading & Writing helps you build your pre-academic English skills for future study. The course teaches reading, writing, grammar, critical thinking skills, and test-taking strategies. Students who complete Intensive 6 Reading & Writing can take Intensive Speaking & Listening, Specialty, Support ESL, or NOVA Workforce courses in IT, business, and healthcare.

Prerequisite: Completion of Intensive 5 Reading & Writing - Intermediate or ACLI placement test results. To be successful in their ESL class, students must be able to use NOVA’s digital technology (email, Zoom, CANVAS).
