Prerequisite:

Students interested in taking this course must have one of the following:
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • NOVA course ITN 261 with a grade of C or better. Equivalent courses from other accredited institutions of higher education may be substituted. You must provide course descriptions and a transcript with final grades.
  • Degree (AS, BS) in Cybersecurity 
Before registration, complete the IT Course Prerequisite Form and upload proof of having completed one of the listed prerequisites. You will be dropped from the course if you register without submitting proof.

This Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course equips you with the skills to proactively defend against and respond to cyber threats. As an official EC-Council course, it covers essential knowledge on using industry-standard tools and techniques to protect networks effectively. You'll learn the critical processes of scanning, testing, hacking, and securing systems, with an emphasis on AI-driven security practices for the latest CEH exam. Enrollment includes course materials (eBook), access to official labs, and an exam voucher.
 
What is Expected:

Certification prep courses are rigorous and demand significant time and effort.
You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, complete all requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam.

This is a fast-paced, intensive boot camp-style security training program. To be successful and prepared for the certification exam, you must allow at least 35 hours of extra study and reading time outside the classroom. You will be responsible for scheduling your certification exam with a testing center provider. You must take the certification exam through either an online remote proctored delivery or an approved test center provider within two weeks of course completion.

What is Included:

eCourseware, official Labs, and EC-Council CEH industry certification exam voucher. Students are assigned all materials ($1,169) on the first day of class, and they are non-refundable once class begins.

This is a FastForward Program: FastForward provides short-term training for industry-recognized credentials in high-demand fields. Eligible Virginia residents pay only one-third of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet Virginia domicile requirements (living in Virginia for at least one year with the intent to remain). A domicile form is included in the registration process. Funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Financial Assistance (FANTIC/G3) may cover the student portion (1/3 of the tuition), reducing your cost to $0. Complete the Financial Assistance Survey to see if you qualify. Learn more about FastForward.

Credit for Prior Learning allows you to earn credit for college-level knowledge that you have already acquired and accelerates the completion of your educational goals. NOVA accepts select industry credentials for college credit. The Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is approved for Credit for Prior Learning for the following classes at NOVA: ITN 261
