Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. Additional financial assistance is available to offset some or all of the FastForward tuition costs.

Course Description: This course will give you the foundations needed for the CompTIA® A+ Core Series certification exams. Through lectures and lab exercises, you will learn to configure and support PC, mobile and IoT device hardware, configure device operating systems, and implement basic data backup and recovery methods. You will learn how to administer client-based as well as cloud-based (SaaS) software and support basic IT infrastructure and networking. You will also gain skills to troubleshoot and problem-solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation, change management, and the use of scripting in IT support. This course aligns with the CompTIA Core 1 and Core 2 exams.
Prerequisite: Working knowledge of personal computers.
Included with Tuition: Bundled price includes CertMaster Learn, CertMaster Labs, and industry certification exams. No other certification exams can be substituted in this program.
Note: CertMaster Learn and CertMaster Labs ($307) are assigned to students on the first day of class and are
non-refundable once class begins.
What is Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. You should expect an additional 20 hours or more of study time outside class hours. You will have 60 calendar days from the end of the in-class program to sit for the exam.

Credit for Prior Learning gives you opportunities to earn credit for college-level knowledge that you have already acquired and accelerates the completion of your educational goals. NOVA accepts select industry credentials for college credit. The
