Before enrolling in a FastForward IT certification course, you must complete this required orientation. Its purpose is to set you on the road to earning your certification and ensure you’re set up for success. The training explains what to expect in FastForward IT courses, helps you assess your readiness to commit the time and effort required, and outlines the requirements for passing the course and avoiding financial liability.

Follow these steps to complete your orientation and register for your FastForward IT course:

Step 1: Register for this orientation class (add to cart and check out) - it's free! You will receive a confirmation email with information on how to access the orientation course in Canvas.
 
Step 2: Complete all orientation tasks in Canvas. The orientation includes three required modules: Pre-Registration Orientation, Exam Scheduling - What You Need to Know, and Acknowledgment of Expectations. Use the link from your confirmation email to access the orientation course with your myNOVA credentials. How to access myNOVA

Step 3: Complete the course prerequisites. Specific prerequisites are listed with each course description. Complete the IT Course Prerequisite Form and upload proof of having completed one of the listed prerequisites. 

Step 4: Register for your IT course. After you have completed the orientation and submitted the prerequisites, you will be contacted by a staff member with instructions on how to register and pay for your class. Several funding sources are available to assist you with the cost of tuition. Complete this short survey to see if you qualify for funding.
