This is a FastForward Program: FastForward programs are short-term training courses for industry credentials in high-demand jobs. Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. Additional financial assistance is available to offset some or all of the FastForward tuition costs. Prerequisite:

Students interested in taking this course must have one of the following: Before registration, complete the IT Course Prerequisite Form and upload proof of having completed one of the listed prerequisites. You will be dropped from the course if you register without submitting proof.
 
Course Description:

Learn@Home and On Campus (Hybrid – Instructor-led)

Are you considering a career in IT? The CompTIA® IT Fundamentals (ITF+) certification is the perfect starting point! It is also a great stepping stone for next-level certifications. Through presentations, demonstrations, and knowledge-based exercises, you will gain a fundamental understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, computer application software, networking technologies and protocols, web browsers, identifying security risks, troubleshooting errors, and system maintenance. You will also learn about cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and virtualization.  
 
What is Expected:

Certification prep courses are rigorous and demand significant time and effort. You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, complete all requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam within 60 days from the last class session. Additional study time outside class hours will be expected.

What is Included:

CertMaster Learn, CertMaster Labs, and industry certification exam voucher. Students are assigned CertMaster Learn and CertMaster Labs ($95) on the first day of class, and they are non-refundable once class begins.

This program cannot be combined with any other discounts/promotions.
