Learn@Home: Instructor-led, Live via Zoom and CANVAS

The Part-Time ESL intermediate level is made up of two courses: Part-Time ESL 5.1 (50 hours) and Part-Time ESL 5.2 (50 hours). Part-Time ESL 5.2 helps you continue to build your English skills for life, school, and work. The course teaches reading, writing, speaking, and listening. You will develop the language skills needed to complete more complex classroom, work, and social tasks. Students who complete Part-Time ESL 5.2 can take Intensive Reading & Writing, Intensive Speaking & Listening, Support ESL, or NOVA Workforce courses in IT, business, and healthcare.

Prerequisites: Completion of Part-Time Intermediate (5.1) Level, Intensive Low Intermediate (4) Level, or ACLI placement test results. Lowest skill determines placement. To be successful in their ESL class, students must be able to use NOVA’s digital technology (email, Zoom, CANVAS).
