This is a FastForward Program: FastForward programs are short-term training courses for industry credentials in high-demand jobs. Eligible Virginia residents may pay only one-third (1/3) of the full tuition cost. To qualify, you must meet the Virginia domicile requirements. Virginia "domicile" means you have lived in Virginia and intended to stay here indefinitely for at least one year before the date of application. A domicile determination form will be part of your registration process. Additional financial assistance is available to offset some or all of the FastForward tuition costs. Students interested in taking this course must have one of the following:

• Northstar Basic Computer Skills and Internet Basics assessments - You must score 80% or higher on both assessments. These assessments are free. Watch this short video on how to take the assessments and save a PDF of your score report. 
• Recommended: Working knowledge of Linux/Unix-based operating systems and SSH is helpful but is not a requirement.

Before registration, complete the IT Course Prerequisite Form and upload proof of having completed one of the listed prerequisites. You will be dropped from the course if you register without submitting proof.

Certification prep courses are rigorous and demand significant time and effort. You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, complete all requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam within 60 days from the last class session. Additional study time outside class hours will be expected.
