Contemporary Issues & Current Events

Learn@Home: Instructor-led, Live via Zoom and CANVAS 

This course has been designed for intermediate to advanced level students who want to improve their oral communication, writing, and vocabulary skills by discussing and writing about current topics and world events. This class focuses on teaching students to analyze and express opinions with advanced language skills. Students will work with American news broadcasts and print media. No textbook is required. (Recommended levels: intermediate - advanced).

To be successful in their ESL class, students must be able to use NOVA’s digital technology (email, Zoom, CANVAS).
