If you're interested in increasing your financial awareness while also gaining a marketable skill, this course is for you. You'll discover the basics of double-entry bookkeeping, as well as how to analyze and record financial transactions. You'll get hands-on experience handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes, and various common banking activities. We'll cover all the basics, from recording, analyzing, and closing out accounts to preparing the financial statements at the end of each fiscal period. Whether you're a business owner and want to manage your business finances or simply understand accounting basics for career advancement or personal use, you'll gain a solid foundation in financial matters. Prerequisite: High school math.  Textbook Required. 
 
You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, in order to pass the class and be awarded CEUs and a Certificate of Completion.
